Wow!!! These socks are so useful, just incredible! They are warm and breathable without being bulky. I put it on for hiking and also as in-home slippers. It was really warm and my feet were dry. I am a little afraid of getting cold, and the thickness of this sock makes me very satisfied. The feet are warm and comfortable in wearing it, and they do not hinder walking at all. I really like it!The socks have comfortable "fluff" on the inside. Thick, plush wool socks. Great for warm feet, long hikes. Wool socks wick better than almost anything else out there. I have hiked 5-10 miles a day while elk hunting and these socks have been durable and comfortable for me. I have also worn them as daily winter socks and been happy with the. Liked them a lot, and plan to buy more. They are comfortable and far cheaper than name-brand wool socks. I only wear wool, perfect for summer and winterThese socks provide a good bit of cushioning and insulation for winter camping or hiking. They still breathe enough that your feet won't get too sweaty when hiking which could cause blisters. I wore these socks while camping in the winter as well with sandals for lounging around the campsite and I stayed fairly warm.I experienced some fraying on one pair though after machine/wash drying the socks a few times that led to a hole popping up in the front toe area when hiking. Other than that pair the other pairs are still intact with minimal fraying.I was using these over a 2 week Christmas in Michigan and was quite happy with them. They are plenty soft but stop short of being the fluffiest-like-walking-on-a-cloud I'm seen with a couple other brands. They were warm as well when out snowmobiling in the middle of the night(read: getting unstuck) though these temperatures were in the 20s which is admittedly not a huge test. I have no complaints and would happily wear more of these. This comes as a set of 4 pairs of matching grey socks. They are comfortable and fit well. They do keep my feet warmer than thicker polyester/cotton blend socks. My feet don't sweat very much with these on either. I do need to air dry the socks because I don't want them to shrink. These socks are made well. They are very warm. I found them to be quite comfortable. The wash well.I wear men's 10.5 medium shoe and these socks in large fit me well. They are amazing thick comfortable warm socks that I love too much. Especially since it's winter and I'm commuting in the cold.I usually orders shoes that are size 11 so I have room for bigger socks. For winter riding I'm wearing size 11 hiking boots and the extra bit of padding from these is perfect. My feet are the one thing I'm not worried about when I'm riding into cold wind and icy rain.I didn't realize these had merino wool in them until I came to write the review. That might explain why I like them so much. This is a bargain compared to some merino wool socks that run this amount for a single pair. I'll be hand washing these from now on. From experience the way to make these last is to hand wash. I don't even use the gentle cycle on our machine. Hand wash wool.
